Eighth Chicago Family Law Attorney Dumps Dwayne Wade's Wife

Representing the estranged wife of an already wealthy basketball superstar about to sign a multimillion-dollar contract might seem like a dream to most divorce attorneys in Chicago. But NBC Miami suggests that maybe Siohvaughn Wade, estranged wife of Miami Heat star Dwayne Wade, isn't worth the hassle

Marsha Fisher, the most recent Illinois family lawyer to represent Siohvaughn Wade in her divorce case, has dumped the client due to "irreconcilable differences." The irony is so thick, it's not even worth pointing out.

But this is hardly an isolated case of an attorney-client personality conflict, since Marsha Fisher is the eighth divorce lawyer (out of nine total) to dump her as a client.

Marsha Fisher filed an emergency motion in Cook County requesting she be withdrawn as Siohvaughn Wade's counsel, according to gossip web site TMZ. There weren't many details about the attorney's decision to sever the relationship, but it's worth noting that Dwayne Wade's soon-to-be ex failed to show up for scheduled court appearances twice, according to NBC Miami.

And Marsha Fisher also had said that there were times when she was unable to reach her client to find out why she wasn't in court; like any good lawyer, though, she often blamed herself for a supposed mix-up.

Siohvaughn Wade also filed suit against actress Gabrielle Union alleging emotional distress due to kissing and hugging her husband in front of their children. While it might not have been a factor in Marsha Fisher's decision to call it quits, it's probably not something a focused divorce lawyer would have advised.

It must take a particularly difficult client to prompt a Chicago family law attorney to stop representing him or her. While divorce and child custody are emotionally draining processes, experienced lawyers are adept at helping their clients get the most favorable outcome possible.
