You can't make this stuff up. Jesse James, husband of Oscar-winning actress Sandra Bullock, allegedly had an affair with heavily inked L.A. stripper and model Michelle "Bombshell" McGee, as profiled by ABC News. It's no big deal, at least within the context of celebrity affairs.
Meanwhile, Mr. James maintains custody of a 6-year-old daughter he fathered with ex-wife and former porn star Janine Lindemulder, also profiled by ABC.
Ms. Lindemulder, once convicted of tax evasion, and current husband (and convicted felon) Jeremy Aikman were found to be unfit parental figures in an Orange County, Ca. court last December, as reported by ABC News. Full custody of the girl, Sunny, was granted to Mr. James.
But the pair believes Mr. James' alleged affair with the tattooed "Bombshell" will help them regain custody of Sunny.
Mr. Aikman sounded fairly confident that he and his porn star wife could claim the moral high ground:
"Without a doubt, it's going to benefit the case. That just goes to show the guy's morals. I mean, what is he teaching his daughter?"
The hearing that Mr. Aikman and Ms. Lindemulder believe may decide the lesser of two evils for Sunny is scheduled for June 14. Specifically, the hearing is for "modification regarding child support or child visitation" and not child custody, according to a representative of the court contacted by ABC reporters. Could it be that Ms. Lindemulder and Mr. Aikman are just a little confused?
Regardless, Ms. Lindemulder has pleaded for her daughter in the court of public opinion, including an interview on "Good Morning America." Ms. Bullock had written a letter to the family court judge expressing concern that Ms. Lindemulder once was "asleep from drug use" while she was supposed to be watching her daughter.
